These three brothers, born in Xalapas, Mexico, were inspired by their musical grandmother to take up the violin at age 4, and they have never looked back. Consummate musicians, composers, singers, arrangers, and multi-instrumentalists – their concerts leave you breathless (I saw them at Joe’s Pub in New York where their energy actually overflowed the postage-stamp stage). One of the leading contemporary Mexican ensembles, their music masterfully fuses the richness of Mexican coastal folk sounds with the complexity and finesse of Jazz and Classical music. They’ve worked with everyone from Arturo O’Farrill (as part of his acclaimed “Fandango at the Wall” project uniting musicians from Tijuana and San Diego at the Border Wall), Bruce Springsteen, and Regina Carter.
