“Whether you simply want to wallow in a wave of seductive tones, or sit up and revel in the superbly rendered polyphonic complexities, Trio
Mediaeval insures that the experience will be an extremely enriching one.” BBC
This peerless female vocal ensemble from Norway has put together a holiday program for us that will be both unusual and unforgettable. As their name implies, a Trio Mediæval program features impeccably sung and historically informed medieval sacred music, the content and beauty of which is so lovely at the holiday season. But that’s not all they are known for. Their concerts also feature folk music, Nordic jazz, commissions (many important modern composers have lined up to work with them), and improvisations. They frequently appear on the most prestigious stages in the world, including Wigmore Hall, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Vienna Konzerthaus, Carnegie Hall, and the Kennedy Center, but we can guarantee that these three perfectly matched voices in the acoustics of our Recital Hall will create a magnificent atmosphere to usher in the season.
Please note: There will be a per-ticket convenience fee added on the checkout page. Fees for students are already included in the $5 ticket price. Students must bring student ID.
